About this role
• Serves as (Volunteer-In-Parks) VIP initial contact point and supervisor of wilderness volunteers, river volunteers, preventative search and rescue volunteers (PSAR), and bike volunteers. Serves as a contact for the organization and in coordinating with volunteers and partners on the volunteer program administrative requirements. Schedules and trains volunteers and provides technical support and training for wilderness and river related projects. Leads field work for certain projects and coordinates with other work units to aid projects park wide. Performs standard and non-standard administrative support, clerical assignments, field leadership of certain wilderness projects, field patrols to monitor resources and develop projects, and resolution of problems in support of a wilderness/backcountry volunteer program.…
